Dr. Politimi Mantzouranis, DDS

Dr. Politimi Mantzouranis, DDS is a graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School. While at the University of Maryland, she was a member of Psi Omega Gamma Phi Delta (a merit-based organization), and was 1 of 2 students chosen out of 115 students for the Fixed Restorative Clerkship in her senior year. Upon graduation, Dr. Politimi Mantzouranis, DDS was chosen for a general practice residence at Providence Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Residents are chosen from the top 10% of all graduating classes.

In 1983, Dr. Politmi Mantzouranis, DDS set up practice in Frederick, Maryland. In addition to working in private practice, Dr. Politimi Mantzouranis, DDS also taught in the Fixed Restorative Department at the University of Maryland Dental School. She is also a past member of the ADA, MSDA, and in 1986 served as treasurer of the Frederick County Dental Society. She was also one of the first female members of the Frederick Jaycees and is also a former girl scout co-leader. Currently, Dr. Politmi Mantzouranis, DDS is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and in 2002, the AACD chose her to serve as a scout for the ADA New York Dental Meeting. As one of 35 scouts out of 2000 members, her role was to evaluate the material, content, and presentations to decide if the speaker would add value to the AACD meeting. Dr. Politmi Mantzouranis, DDS was also honored by an invitation to the prestigious American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Annual Meeting, which she continues to attend.

Dr. Politimi Mantzouranis, DDS is strongly committed to attending continuing education courses to stay current with advancing technology in the dental field. She is presently embracing CAD/CAM dental technology. This technology allows the dentist to design and create in-office crowns in just one visit. She is training in a program that will allow her to mentor and teach other dentists how to use the CAD/CAM technology and stay current in their dental practices.

In her spare time, Dr. Politimi Mantzouranis, DDS is active in the community and was a member of the Carroll Creek Rotary for over 20 years. She is a member of the St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and has a large extended Greek family. She is also a member of the Women’s Giving Circle. Her partner, Kevin, has a Masters in Accounting, works for DOE, and is a top ten triathlete in his age group. She has one daughter, who graduated from Washington and Lee University. Dr. Politimi Mantzouranis, DDS life is rounded out by her dog, cat, and bird. Her hobbies and interests include ballroom dancing, music, art, reading, animals, health and fitness, and the Caribbean!

Brenda Bisett

Brenda, a registered dental hygienist and graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, has worked in the dental field for over 30 years as both an assistant and a dental hygienist.  Brenda currently lives in Frederick with her husband and two dogs. She has two adult children, a son and a daughter, and enjoys reading and playing with her grandson in her spare time.

Heather Johnson

Heather, a graduate of Catoctin High School, attended Accutech Business Institute after high school, where she graduated with a certificate in computerized business and office technology. After graduating from Accutech, she attended Horizon Education Systems and became a licensed dental radiation technologist. Heather also attended Hagerstown Community College to become a qualified dental assistant in expanded functions. Heather has attended several AACD meetings.

Heather currently lives in Hedgesville, West Virginia with her husband, Darin, their two sons, Shay and Wyatt, and their two dogs. When not at work, Heather enjoys reading, yard sales, and making jewelry of all kinds.

Christy Morgan

Christy is no stranger to Frederick or dentistry. She is a Thomas Johnson High School graduate and was a qualified dental assistant before attending Allegany College of Maryland school. She graduated from Allegany College of Maryland with her Associate’s of Applied Science Degree in dental hygiene.

Christy resides in Littlestown, Pennsylvania with her husband, Eric, and newborn daughter, Zoe. In her spare time, Christy enjoys hockey, football, and reading.

Sara Powell

Sara is a graduate of Walkersville High School and pursued dental assisting at Hagerstown Business College and later attended Horizon Education Systems to become a dental radiation technologist. She also attended Hagerstown Community College to become a qualified dental assistant in expanded functions. In addition, Sara has attended several AACD conventions

Sara and her boyfriend, Chris, live in Middletown, MD with their two dogs, Bo and Mia. In her free time, Sara enjoys playing recreational kickball, pool, and taking a ride on their Harley.

Tiffany Markuski

We are pleased to welcome Tiffany Markuski to our practice.  Tiffany is a graduate of Frostburg State University, obtaining a BS degree in Psychology with a Minor in Business. Tiffany is a born resident of Frederick, MD and also owns the locally based business, Elite Pet Sitting Services.  She will be acting as a member of our Patient Liaison and Management Team.
